The Intro
New to CBC? Join us for “The Intro” this Sunday at 11:00 AM. “The Intro” is a newcomers event where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about CBC, meet our leadership, and ask questions. Please meet us at the Welcome Table in the Lobby, where we’ll walk together to the meeting room (Room 208). Refreshments will be provided, and space is limited, so be sure to register!
Book of the Summer Potluck
A month ago, many of you picked up your copy of “What is the Mission of the Church?” by Kevin DeYoung and Greg Gilbert in the lobby. In a month from now, we’ll meet together for a potluck dinner to discuss and apply the book on Sunday, August 23 at 5:30 pm. Save that date, and join the summer reading Telegram group to track along with others in the church, share quotes, and look ahead to the 8/23 potluck dinner.
Young Adults Ministry
Young Adults! Join us for our Young Adults Ministry kick off next Friday, August 28th at 6:30pm as we kick off the new semester and series. This will be a sweet evening of fellowship and worship! The young adults ministry purpose is to equip young adults in the way of wisdom to live as mature disciples of Christ, we hope to have you join us to grow together in wisdom and love for the Lord. Ministry Fair
On August 30th, after both services, we want to invite all of you to explore the different ministries at CBC and sign up if you are interested in serving in the ministry. Christ is building the church and every member is a living and active building block within this church. If you are new to the church or have been thinking about how you can be obedient to God's word in being a good steward with the gifts and time He gave you and don't know where to serve, be sure to stop by the fair and get plugged in!

Church! Our community groups are starting on the week of September 1st! If you are not in one yet, be sure you are plugged into one by checking out all our community groups here!
Dinner for Eight
Looking for an opportunity to get to know more people at City Bible Church? We invite you to participate in Dinner for 8 on September 5th at 5:00PM for a great time of fellowship and breaking bread! You can register to attend a dinner group or host one at your home. Host homes are expected to provide a main dish and the attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish, salad, dessert, or drinks. Please register below and fill out the questions provided to specify if you would like to host or attend a dinner. Make sure you register your families or anyone you need to be in the same dinner group with together.
The registration for this event will close on August 27th at 11:00 PM so if you would like to participate please complete your registration before this deadline, as dinner group assignments will be finalized shortly after. If you have questions please email deanna@citybiblesacramento.com.
Security Training for Events and Outreach
CBC Saints! Join us for an upcoming Event and Outreach Security Training designed to equip those who serve at our church events, including Truth and Treat, Fab Cab, Spring Festival, and other church gatherings. Whether you’ve served on security before or are looking to get involved, this training will help you be better prepared to serve our church family.
The training will cover what to look for in behavior and mannerisms, where to focus attention and manpower, proper radio usage and etiquette, de-escalation techniques, and how to balance safety and security with opportunities to share the gospel when appropriate. Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM, with training beginning at 6:00 PM. Come get equipped and prepared to faithfully serve our church in these important areas.
