August Evangelism
Saints! Join us this August as we share the the Gospel with our community. Outreach opportunities include Planned Parenthood on August 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 11:00 AM, and Saylor Lane on August 7 at 5:30 PM. Whether encouraging nursing home residents or engaging in gospel conversations, these are wonderful opportunities to faithfully make Christ known. When registering, please select the date you plan to attend and text or email the outreach lead so they can coordinate with you.
Evangelism Training
Personal evangelism training and sending! On Saturday August 8th, from 9am to 12pm, we’ll gather for training (+breakfast) and then be sent out in small groups to various spots in Sacramento for evangelism. You can expect to get trained, sent, and get real reps in sharing the gospel with our fellow Sacramento neighbors we’re blessed to live among. We trust that the Gospel is the power unto salvation (Rom 1:16), that Jesus is the only way, truth and life, and our commission is to open our mouths and tell people the Good News and such a great salvation. TYG Parent Dinner
Parents of teens! Please join us for our Parent Dinner on August 18th at 6:30pm as we anticipate our TYG (The Youth Group) meetings resuming soon. We will introduce all of our staff to you, look ahead to our plans for the upcoming year, share new ways you can support us, and give you the opportunity to share how we can serve you more faithfully. This is an event for TYG parents. If you are unable to leave your teens at home you may bring them to the dinner. Please be sure to register the teens attending so that we can accommodate them for food.
The Intro
What is City Bible Church about? Why do we exist? What do we believe? If you are new to the church and would like to have these questions answered by the leadership of CBC then we would like to invite you to join us at our new-comers event called "The Intro." There are limited spots each month and we want to encourage you to register to attend this meeting. Our Intro will be at 11:00 am on August 23rd and we will meet at the Welcome Table in the Lobby to be walked over to the meeting room. Refreshments will be provided.
Members Meeting
CBC members, save the date! Our next Members Meeting will take place on Sunday, August 30th at 5:00 PM. This is an important opportunity for our church family to gather, receive updates on the life and ministry of CBC, and pray with one another. If you are a member, we encourage you to make every effort to attend. We look forward to spending this meaningful evening together as we continue serving the Lord and caring for His church.
