Young Adults Ministry

YAM (1)

Our first Young Adults Ministry gathering of the year is this Friday, January 31st at 6:30 pm. This ministry is dedicated to equipping young adults with wisdom to live as mature disciples of Christ. Pastor Ty will be continuing our series in the book of Proverbs so we hope to have you join us to grow in wisdom, knowledge of the Lord, and fellowship with other Saints. We can’t wait to see you there!

Ministry Fair

Ministry Fair

Saints! On February 9th, after service, we want to invite all of you to explore the different ministries at CBC and sign up if you are interested in serving in the ministries in need of volunteers. Christ is building the church and every member is a living and active building block within this church!

If you are new to the church or have been thinking about how you can be obedient to God's word in being a good steward with the gifts and time He gave you and don't know where to serve, be sure to stop by the fair and get plugged in!

Care Conference

CareConfHalfSheet

CBC! Last year we had the privilege of joining Gold Country Baptists Care Conference on Marriage. This year, on February 21st-22nd, they are hosting another conference called "Forgiven to Forgive: The Power of Biblical Reconciliation" which will focus on caring for our relationships & reconciliation, and will feature Dr. Ernie Baker. We all need to be better equipped to handle sinful conflict in our lives, but being a disciple of Christ means also having a desire to help others in the same areas (whether as an Ambassador for Christ, or a brother or sister helping another in spiritual need).

Dr. Baker will also teach and answer questions at a pre-conference session from 1-3pm Friday, Feb 21st on trauma and counseling. How do we think about trauma from a Biblical perspective? How might we help others who have experienced traumatic events in their lives? How can we give hope, and discern trauma from the Scriptures as opposed to how the world deals with trauma? We'll discuss these questions, and more with Dr. Baker. Here are some of his resources of trauma.

Early-bird registration ($35) ends January 31st, and goes up to $45 on February 1st. Each registration will include two book resources, plenty of coffee, snacks, breakfast on Saturday morning, and child-care for any who register!

We want to encourage you to sign up and be encouraged by this wonderful conference and we hope to see you there! Check out the registration link for more details and the conference schedule.

Family Dedication

Family Dedication

Members, our next family dedication is on March 16th. This is a public commitment by parents to bring their children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). This is a neat opportunity for parents to express their desire to raise their child(ren) in a home that honors Christ. It also gives our entire church a chance to pray for our little ones. In order for accountability of these commitments to be real, we would ask that this dedication is open for members of CBC only.

Register to be included in this dedication. The deadline for registration is March 9th.
