Cultivate Conference Recap

This past weekend at Habits of Grace: Cultivate Conference we had the joy and privilege of sitting under the ministry of David Mathis, Senior Teacher and Executive Editor at Desiring God and author of Habits of Grace. Over the course of the conference, David unpacked the ordinary means of grace God has given his people and helped us see them with fresh eyes; hearing God's voice in Scripture, having his ear in prayer, and belonging to his body in the fellowship of the local church. To everyone who came out, thank you! This conference was only possible because of your participation, and we are grateful for each of you. Our prayer is that these habits of grace would not remain a weekend memory, but would become a daily reality, not as ends in themselves, but as the means of knowing and delighting in Jesus more and more each day.

Right Hand of Fellowship

Saints! Our church membership is growing! The Lord is faithful as He continues to add people to this local body so that we may grow and serve the kingdom together. Come and celebrate with us on June 14th as we announce all of our new members that are adding to our body. The announcement will be at the end of each service.
The Intro

What is City Bible Church about? Why do we exist? What do we believe? If you are new to the church and would like to have these questions answered by the leadership of CBC then we would like to invite you to join us at our new-comers event called "The Intro." There are limited spots each month and we want to encourage you to register to attend this meeting.
Our next Intro will be on June 14th at 11:00 am and we will meet at the Welcome Table in the Lobby to be walked over to the meeting room.
Handling Cases of Abuse Biblically

The church is not immune to the effects of sin in a fallen world. Abuse of many kinds can arise even within Christian homes, relationships, and communities. Because these situations are often hidden until they become severe, it is important for believers to be equipped to respond with wisdom, compassion, and biblical truth before encountering them firsthand.
During this two-hour gathering, we will watch a special biblical counseling lecture focused on how to think about and respond to abuse situations in a faithful, biblical way. Following the lecture, there will be a time of Q&A to help provide practical tools and encourage confidence in the hope God offers through His Word for both sufferers and sinners alike.
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.”
