May 18, 2023Men's Breakfast
Gentlemen ~ Join us for the last Men's Breakfast before our summer break this Saturday, May 20th, at 8 am as we enjoy a sweet time of fellowship and time in Gods Word together. Join fellow brothers as we have guest speaker George Liepart from Grace Bible Church of Fair Oaks come and continue our series on Vulnerable Strength speaking on the topic of envy. Register early so our team can get a head count for breakfast!
Dinner for Eight
A group of eight once ate together... and now, as a church, we continue the tradition of sharing a meal between 8 people to get to know each other and grow in love and fellowship with one another. This tradition carries on June 10th as we gather to break bread and break some ice with other church family members! Sign up to come or host; both are needed, but your presence is requested the most!
Registration closes this Saturday, May 20th, at 10pm, so register now!
Church Picnic
Church ~ We have had a date change! We are excited to gather with you for our annual Church Picnic on June 25th at 1 pm in East Portal Park!
You can head to the park right after service, and we plan on serving lunch at 1 pm near the church and having the picnic at the park. There will be volleyball, lawn games, and much much more! Come fellowship with other beloved saints!
Please RSVP to let us know you are coming.
PS ~ Please bring your own blankets and picnic chairs.
PPS ~ Lawn games are encouraged.
Church Prayer
Church prayer this month is on Sunday, May 28th, at 5 pm. Come to pray with one another for the various needs of our church, our community, and one another.
Union Gospel Mission
Union Gospel Mission is a phenomenal way to get plugged in to serve our Lord with fellow saints by ministering to the homeless who attend the Union Gospel Mission evening chapel service. Join us and serve at UGM on May 22nd at 7pm!
What does a church service at UGM look like? Our church will lead worship. One saint shares his or her testimony, and another CBC member shares the Gospel and encourages all who attend to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
The Intro
What is City Bible Church about? Why do we exist? What do we believe? If you are new to the church and would like to have these questions answered by the leadership of CBC, we invite you to join us at our new-comers event called "The Intro," happening this month on May 28th at noon. There are limited spots each month, and we want to encourage you to register to attend this meeting. We will provide lunch.
Baptism Class
Our Summer Baptism Class starts on June 4th. If you have believed in Jesus, repented of your sins, and want to be baptized, this class is the first step for you to publicly profess your faith to the world and partake in baptism with fellow believers at CBC. Sign up now!
Kids Bible Camp
Calling all explorers! CBC is hosting its first Kids Bible Camp this Summer, July 17th-21st, 9 am-12 pm. Camp explorers should be ages 5-11 years old. We plan to fill this event with incredible Bible lessons, fun games, and activities centered on the Word of God. The cost of the camp will be $25 per child.
Registration will be open shortly, so save the dates for you and your explorers!
