October 9, 2024Men's Roundtable
This Friday at 5:45 am join us for our monthly Men's Roundtable meeting. Our Men’s Round Table gatherings are a great opportunity to be edified by biblical conversations and fellowship with other men who are part of CBC. This weeks topic Pastor Vlad will be either continuing the conversation of 1 Corinthians 9 by talking about how to "Sanctify the Ordinary" or will be discussing the topic of "Partiality". Pastries and coffee are provided.
Field Trip Friday

Women's Breakfast
This Saturday, October 12th at 9:00 am we will be having our Women's Breakfast. Please join us as we continue our series, Saints and Sisters with Pam Jones teaching this breakfast on "Leah - Thoughts about God in Seasons of Affliction." We’ll be looking at Leah’s thoughts about God as she struggled in her marriage and we’ll use her thoughts as a springboard for examining our own hearts. We’ll consider what we’re thinking of God in our different seasons and why it matters. So be sure to join us to be edified and to grow in a greater knowledge and understanding of our Lord.
Church Prayer
Gather with us to pray this Sunday at 5:00 pm. The focus of this church prayer will be the adoration of God's attributes and character, to confess our worship, to thank him with grateful hearts, and to lean on him in supplication as we meet together with God.
Advanced Counseling Class
This course builds upon the foundation of discipleship/counseling from the first course and looks to find Biblical solutions for specific sins and/or struggles in the Christian life (e.g., decision-making, anger, depression, etc.).

Young Adults Ministry
Young adults! Join us on October 25th at 6:30pm for our next gathering. At 6:00pm we will be starting the night with prayer in the conference room that is open for all to join. We will be starting with fellowship hour at 6:30pm with snacks and beverages ready for you to join as you fellowship with others and grow in community. Service will start at 7:00pm so don't be late for that! Registration is required so be sure to register now and reserve your spot!

Men's Reformation Night with Dr. Nathan Busenitz
Gentlemen. We have a special men's event on October 26th with special guest speaker Dr. Nathan Busenitz joining us to discuss the Reformation and its impact on Christianity and our understanding of the Gospel. Registration is required and closes on October 19th so be sure to register as soon as possible.

Members Meeting
Saints! Mark your calendars and save the date for October 27th at 5:00 pm for our members meeting. We will be discussing various family matters, providing church updates, and reviewing our current financial situation. Nonmembers are welcome to join if they wish to learn more about our church and get to know our congregation.
Truth and Treat
Join City Bible Church for our Truth and Treat Outreach on October 31st 7pm-9pm! Truth and treat is an outreach event where we plan on sharing the Gospel with all who join us for this evening. We hope to encourage you with the truth of the Gospel as you join us for a fun-filled evening so be sure to invite your unbelieving friends and family.
This will be a fun time of games, activities, and delicious food for you and your family to enjoy together and most importantly the Gospel message will be preached!

Baptism Class
If you have believed in Jesus as Lord and savior and want to be baptized at CBC, this class is the first step of this process. This class is held weekly, starting on November 3rd at 9:00am in the Conference Room (room 208). More details to come. If the group is closed it means we're full this season, but don't worry – this class starts up again every 2 months.
