Men's Roundtable 

Tomorrow, Friday, September 24th, we are starting our round table again. Some of you are not morning people, but this is a great reason to create a habit to be a morning person. Set your alarm and we hope to see you at 5:45 AM. We will be meeting at the New Church Building in the Conference Room upstairs in the office area of the building. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

The topic: Using the Bible to practically shape your worldview/convictions. I want to work through Genesis 1-3 and use those chapters to create a list of truths that should shape how we view the world (not a formal Bible study of Gen 1-3). If you want to prep, read the chapters and think about how Gen 1-3 is referenced or quoted in the NT.

Women's Breakfast

This Saturday, September 25th at 8 am join the women of CBC for a morning filled with God's Word, fellowship, and a delicious breakfast.

The speaker will be Pastor Ben Ito and the topic will be Living in the Light: Exposing the Shadows of Abuse. We look forward to seeing you there. Please RSVP so we know how much food to prepare. 

This event will be held at the Mckinley Village Clubhouse.

Church Prayer

This Sunday, September 26th, we will once again come together for a sweet time in fellowship with our Father as we pray together. Join the church as we pray together for the various needs of our church family and the ministries of CBC. 

It will be held at the New Church Building at 5 PM.

Union Gospel

It is that time of the month again. Time to come together on Monday, September 27th at Union Gospel Mission and encourage the homeless men and women of Sacramento with the Gospel of good news. If you have been thinking of how to get involved in outreach ministry, this is a great place to start. We will meet at 7 PM, see details and register below.

Man of God Conference

This conference is just around the corner, don't miss out. Grace Bible Church of Fair Oaks is hosting the Annual Man of God Conference on October 1st and 2nd. This conference sells out every year so register early to lock in your spot. 

The speaker this year is Dr. Nicolas Ellen, PhD. Dr. Ellen is the Senior Pastor of Community of Faith Bible Church in Houston, Texas, and the Senior Professor of Biblical Counseling at the College of Biblical Studies. Dr. Ellen has also developed a biblical counseling training center called Expository Counseling Center.

At the Man of God Conference, Dr. Ellen will be teaching a series titled In Light of Temptation from James 1. His sessions are listed below:

• The Stages of Temptation 
• The Solution

Building Renovation Update & Needs

Update

1. We finally submitted our demo permit and are excited to start working on additional parts of the building. Please pray that the Lord would expedite that approval at the city.
2. The staff has their desks all set up and the conference room is already being used for equipping and other meetings. Next week we will move into the office area of the building.
3. This week we are putting in the lights and finalizing preparation for paint. On Monday we are starting to paint the worship center. 
4. A team of members at our church has been working tirelessly on equipping and modernizing our building to have all the technology communicating with each other. They are setting the server rack today and starting to connect some of those wires that they ran.
5. We had someone respond to our search to hire more contractors. We are excited to have them join us to help move this project more quickly to the finish line.

Our Needs

1. There is still much work that can be done by everyone. Members who are experienced in construction and can volunteer their time to help us offset our cost for outside contractors.
2. Members who are willing to help with simple things like cleaning and other non-skilled work
