The Youth Group
TYG (The Youth Group) is back and is serving our high school & middle school students ages 12-18. If you have a teen and are interested in getting them plugged in be sure to register for our parents group to get all the details!
This year we have the first TYG Winter Retreat at Del Oro from 1/18-1/20. The title of the retreat is Ignite: The Pursuit of Knowing & Enjoying God. TYG has asked for a few prayer requests as they prepare to leave tomorrow
- Please pray for the camp speakers Eugene Gol & Aaron Anasco as they prepare and teach on meditating on God’s word.
- Pray for the teens’ hearts to be open to the messages and during the devotion time in God’s word. Pray for their salvation and that their faith may be strengthened during this time.
- Pray for endurance, wisdom, and discernment for the TYG Staff.
- Pray for safety, protection, fun, a Spirit-led time, and for God to be glorified during this retreat.
Union Gospel Mission
Union Gospel Mission serves the homeless community in Sacramento. This Monday, January 22nd at 7pm our church will be serving at UGM by leading their evening service. Please join to serve and share the Gospel with those in need!
A Man's Day
Men’s Relaunch for 2024: Disciplines of a Godly Man
It’s been said that the vitality of the church can often be measured by the spiritual health of the men of the church. Strong men build strong churches. Strength will be the name of the game as we kick-off our Men’s Ministry for the year 2024 on January 27th where you will enjoy a time of physical competition, a time to feast together, and a time of encouragement and prayer. Come also to hear more about our theme for this year, Disciplines of a Godly Man.
Come for a unique experience that will combine the thrill of axe and knife throwing, pro archery, and competition, along with mouth watering BBQ including whole roasted lamb and hog, and a time for Q&A regarding life, theology, leadership, and marriage!
Rise up to the challenge and don’t miss out on what may be the single greatest men’s event in the history of CBC!

Member's Meeting
Church! Our Member's meeting on January 28th at 5:00 pm as we discuss various family matters and review our current financial situation. We will get to pray together at the end for our body and various ministries at our church. This meeting will be held at 5:00 pm in place of the prayer meeting.
Nonmembers are welcome to join if they wish to learn more about our church and get to know our congregation.
Women's Conference
Ladies join CBC for our Women's Conference on February 10th, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm!
Our speaker is Manny Pereira from Trinity Bible Church and he will be speaking on the topic "Awakening Awe: The Joy of Fearing God."
Awakening Awe: The Joy of Fearing God
We live in a culture of fear. Yet this is ironic because it seems that people in our day fancy to fear just about anything but God. We fear political agendas, diseases, carcinogens, weather, bad influences, crime, etc. Anxiety is at an all-time high and security mechanisms are in abundance. Yet it seems that there is no fear of God in the eyes of the people. The fear of God is the key to the dispelling of all other fears. Learning to fear God is learning to live in the freedom and joy of God-centeredness.

A light breakfast will be served from 8-9am, specialty coffee will be provided and we will also have a bookstore!
We will not be able to provide childcare, so we ask that you plan some arrangements ahead of time.

Join us for Dinner for 8, on February 17th, for a great time of fellowship and breaking bread! The registration for this event will close on February 2nd at 10:00 PM so if you would like to participate please complete your registration before this deadline, as dinner group assignments will be finalized shortly after.
