"If you want to know the mind of a Church, look at their Preaching and Fellowship ministries;
If you want to know the heart of a Church, look at Prayer and Evangelism."

- Pastor Ben

The Great Commission of the church of Jesus Christ is to make disciples. In Matthew 28:16-20, the Lord outlines three important details in the practice of making disciples: 1) Going, 2) Baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and 3) Teaching them to observe everything Christ commanded.

The mission of City Bible Church is to search for and rescue the lost, because that was the mission of our Lord (Luke 19:10). Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few; therefore, pray to the Lord to send out workers (Matt. 9:36-38). We want to work! Our heart's desire is to not turn down any opportunity to proclaim the grace of God in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and this desire is not only for a couple "gifted" saints, but every member. We desire to humble ourselves in any way necesary to save some (1 Cor. 9:19-2310:31-33). We’ve gone to festivals, malls, protests, shopping centers, street corners, night clubs, city events, sports games, conventions, and campuses to tell people the good news that God has commanded them to repent and receive eternal life! God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor. 5:17).

"If you want to know the prejudices of a church- more than demographics-
pay attention to where they do and do not bring the Gospel in evangelism."
