Children's Ministry Promotion

 

Promotion Sunday

Parents, this Sunday, June 11, is "Promotion Sunday" in which our church will promote the children to the grade level they will attend during the next church year (September 2023 to June 2024). When you check-in your child this Sunday, please pay special attention to the Room Assignment on your child's name tag in the cases where there has been a change. Those children who turn twelve (12) years old on or before August 31st, will be "promoted" to Corporate Worship this Sunday, and will no longer attend Children's Ministry.

What this Means for Parents

This Sunday:

  • Check-in your child(ren) as usual.

  • The Classroom/Grade on the printed name tag may be different than you're used to.

  • Begin dropping off and picking up at the designated classroom.

Classroom Breakdown

For parents that would like specifics, here is how our current age and grade criteria are organized:

3 Year Olds Class

  • Made up of children who are three (3) years old

  • May promote to next class on their 4th birthday

4 Year Olds Class

  • Made up of children who are four (4) years old

  • May promote to Kindergarten on their 5th birthday or during Summer Promotion (June)

Kindergarten

  • Made up of children who turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to next grade during Summer Promotion (June)

1st Grade

  • Made up of children who turn 6 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to next grade during Summer Promotion (June)

2nd Grade

  • Made up of children who turn 7 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to next grade during Summer Promotion (June)

3rd Grade

  • Made up of children who turn 8 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to next grade during Summer Promotion (June)

4th Grade

  • Made up of children who turn 9 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to next grade during Summer Promotion (June)

5th Grade

  • Made up of children who turn 10 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to next grade during Summer Promotion (June)

6th Grade

  • Made up of children who turn 11 years old on or before September 1, 2023

  • Promotes to Corporate Worship during Summer Promotion (June)
