December 27, 2023Christmas Decoration Clean-up
Church! Christmas has passed and we need your help to clean up our decorations! This Sunday, January 31st, after church, we need many hands to join us to clean up our Christmas decor!
Please register to serve in one of the needed positions and floaters are more than welcome! Many hands get the job done quickly!
Women's Breakfast
Women’s Breakfast is back on January 13th at 9 am! We invite all ladies to join us as we gather to fellowship with one another and be edified by the teaching of God’s word.
If someone were to ask, “Do you know more than God?,” most likely we’d respond with a resounding “No!” But in reality, the belief that we know more than God often drives our quest for the control that will only ever belong to Him.
As we continue our series on Vanity Fair, considering things that draw us away from our pursuit of Christ, we’ll be looking in January at our vain quest for control: what it looks like inside and out and how to deal with it at the root.
Membership Class
Are you considering becoming a member at City Bible Church or wanting to learn more about the church? Registration is now open for the CBC Membership class in Spring 2024, with classes beginning on January 14th after corporate worship. This class is designed for those who have decided to become members or are interested in learning more about City Bible membership.
Baptism Class
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.” 1 Peter 3:21-22
Baptism Class is starting Sunday, January 14th at 8 am. If you believe in Jesus as Lord, have repented of your sins we encourage you to sign up to be baptized! Register for the baptism class today!
Family Dedication
Our Family Dedication and Corporate Worship Service is on February 18th, 2024. This is a public commitment by parents to bring their children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). This is a neat opportunity for parents to express their desire to raise their child(ren) in a home that honors Christ. It also gives our entire church a chance to pray for our little ones. In order for accountability of these commitments to be real, we would ask that this dedication is open for members of CBC only.
