Planned Parenthood Outreach
A couple days ago, I (Ben) was thinking about how the providence of God has really guided our church into this ministry. Before Covid, we were doing outreach at Planned Parenthood, Sac State, Arden Mall, K Street, UGM, Hiram Johnson, and gearing up for more of the same. But when Covid happened, all those other opportunities sort of vanished, and our energy funneled into ministry outside of Planned Parenthood, and seeking to do it well. The story below happened on March 3, 2020 (just before quarantines), and it has since then, proved to one of many special stories we know, and according to APC, one of many stories we don't know. This last Tuesday, our church had 11 people on the sidewalk! Please read Proverbs 24:11-12, and consider how you might support this ministry in prayer, proclamation, participation, and/or giving (to the Mercy Fund below).
Mercy Fund
Since last week, we have opened up a Mercy Fund to set aside giving for the needs that come up in our ministry to the afflicted, including the couple we shared about recently that changed their mind abortion. Here's how to contribute towards it:

ICYMI (In Case You Missed It)
Book of the Month: Proverbs
It is not coincedence that we have chosen Proverbs as our book of the month, as it contains so much instruction in how to think of mothers (and fathers).
You need wisdom. You will need more wisdom in the days to come. Especially in trials, James tell us to ask/seek for wisdom (James 1:5) and God will give generously. Indeed He has; in the book of Proverbs and complete in Christ (Col. 2:3). Church, there are 31 days in May, and there are 31 chapters in Proverbs.
We challenge you to read one chapter of Proverbs on each corresponding day (Chapter 1 on May 1st, Chapter 2 on May 2nd, Chapter 14 on May 14th, etc.) and share something with someone. You can can share within your fellowship groups, or you can share you thoughts on social media using #wisdomshouts and #proverbs[chapter].
Corporate Singing!
If you miss the sound of the CBC body singing like we do, listen to this set that was recorded at Hiram Johnson three weeks before quarantine. It has the sound of the chairs and everything.

Social Media
Did you know that one of the easiest, and most passive ways you can help the advance of the Gospel, is by interacting with our Church social media presence (and other ministries). Even a simple "like" will help put our posts in the view of your non-believing friends. Comments are better in Facebook, since they equate the comments with popularity.
