Book of the Month: Proverbs

It is not coincedence that we have chosen Proverbs as our book of the month, as it contains so much instruction in how to think of mothers (and fathers).

You need wisdom. You will need more wisdom in the days to come. Especially in trials, James tell us to ask/seek for wisdom (James 1:5) and God will give generously. Indeed He has; in the book of Proverbs and complete in Christ (Col. 2:3). Church, there are 31 days in May, and there are 31 chapters in Proverbs.

We challenge you to read one chapter of Proverbs on each corresponding day (Chapter 1 on May 1st, Chapter 2 on May 2nd, Chapter 14 on May 14th, etc.) and share something with someone. You can can share within your fellowship groups, or you can share you thoughts on social media using #wisdomshouts and #proverbs[chapter].

Current Help Needed

Needs Update

  • Planned Parenthood Ministry. Transportation was found. We are working on options to help with the living need. Please give to the Mercy Fund to participate in this support.
  • Looking for Work. Two weeks ago, a twenty-something father was laid off recently from a plumbing/remodel job. He did not respond to the Gospel, but shared the prayer request to “not become homeless” since he got laid off. He was on the phone with a staffing agency while waiting outside. If you might have a lead, please contact Ben ItoUpdate. A good temporary job has been found. Please continue to pray for the Gospel witness.

Social Media

Did you know that one of the easiest, and most passive ways you can help the advance of the Gospel, is by interacting with our Church social media presence (and other ministries). Even a simple "like" will help put our posts in the view of your non-believing friends. Comments are better in Facebook, since they equate the comments with popularity.
