October 4, 2023Members Meeting
Church, join our Members' meeting as we discuss various family matters and review our current financial situation. We will get to pray together at the end for our body and various ministries at our church. This meeting will be held on October 22nd at 5:00 pm in place of the prayer meeting. Nonmembers are welcome to join if they wish to learn more about our church and get to know our congregation.
Church Prayer
Church prayer is this Sunday at 5 pm! Please join us as we gather to pray together. It is a sweet joy and privilege to be able to gather together and bring our praises, sorrows, and petitions to one another and our Lord.
Man of God Conference
The Man of God Conference is this weekend, October 6th-7th at Grace Bible Church in Fair Oaks! The purpose of this conference is to encourage men as they follow Christ and discipline others in their local church, home, and community.
Lord willing, Dr. Anthony Wood from Mission Bible Church in Costa Mesa will be the conference speaker. Pastor Tony has been at Mission Bible since 2010. He is a graduate of the Master’s Seminary and serves on multiple church and missionary boards. His theme for the Conference is Building a Christlike Home in a Cancel Culture. We are excited to see how the Lord will use Pastor Tony to share insights on this timely subject.
Dinner for Eight
Looking to grow in fellowship and community at CBC? Join us October 21st at 5 pm for a Dinner for Eight where you will be having dinner with eight random people from CBC! You can register to just attend a dinner or to host a dinner but all are asked to bring a dish to the table. Be sure to register your whole family and anyone you need to be in the same dinner group with together. Registration for this event will close on October 8th at 10:00 pm. Calling all gentlemen to our Men’s Round Table on October 13th at 5:45 am! Join to be equipped, blessed, and encouraged by our early Men’s Roundtable discussion. Coffee and Pastries are provided.
Women's Breakfast
Ladies! Join us on October 14th at 9 am for our Women’s Breakfast! We will be continuing the series of Vanity Fair as we look to Christ rather than the fleeting pleasures and pursuits of this world. Amy Atkins will be sharing the word as she focuses on identifying some main ungodly motivations in social media and encourages us to behold Christ better. Register now to join the ladies of CBC for a blessed time of fellowship and edification by the preaching of God's word.
Baptism Sunday
We are so excited to celebrate this fall's Baptism on October 22nd during our corporate worship service as our fellow brothers and sisters proclaim their faith through their shared testimonies and water baptism. Join us to celebrate and please pray for these individuals as they prepare for baptism.
